This is how you can make a difference

The book “The Butterfly Effect” by Andy Andrews had a profound effect on me.  Have you read it?  If not I recommend you get a copy.  It’s powerful.

It has made me contemplate many things.  The foundation for the book is “In 1963 Edward Lorenz presented a hypothesis to the New York Academy of Science.  His theory stated simply that: A butterfly could flap its wings and set molecules in motion, which would move other molecules of air, in turn moving more molecules of air – eventually capable of starting a hurricane on the other side of the planet.”

Although this theory, when presented, was considered ridiculous, it inspired The Law of Sensitive Dependence Upon Initial Conditions which states that a small change in one place can result in a large change in a later state.

This whole concept has me super excited because it applies to you and me!  What this Law really says for your life is that a very small action can result in a large action somewhere else.  That means that every day of your life you have the potential to begin a butterfly effect.  And everyone has this power!  How amazing is that?

What would the world be like if you woke up tomorrow with the intention of beginning a butterfly effect that would make the world a better place?  Whew that gives me chills!

Most people believe that changing the world is a huge undertaking and you probably feel like you don’t have the time, energy or power to make a difference.  When you look at the enormity of changing the world it becomes easier to just keep doing your life and let someone else be the one to make a difference.

The butterfly effect is a reminder that even the smallest act of kindness, a few words of inspiration and a little love to someone in your life have the potential to create a much larger impact on the world.

What would the world be like if you set an intention of starting a butterfly effect today, something that would make the world a better place?  If everyone reading this article did just that, we could create an enormous butterfly effect.

Here is my wish for our sisterhood.  Today, do it! Set the intention that you are going to begin a butterfly effect.  Decide that you are going to do something that generates love, light and positive energy into the world.  It doesn’t have to be a big act it just has to be one full of love and positive energy.

You have the power to start something amazing!  Together you and I can a difference in the world and have a positive impact!

Are you setting an intention to start a butterfly effect?  Share what you’re doing with our sisterhood in the comments section and check out what others are doing.  You might find a great idea that lets you share more love and positive energy!
